Introduction

I have 1 bar for breakfast and 1 bar for lunch (about 350 calories) then eat a healthy supper with a multi-vitamin. I was eating fast food biscuits and burgers and now I am losing about 3-5 lbs. a week with moderate exercise. Ingredients

2 cups Kashi Go Lean Crunch Cereal
    1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup raisins (regular or golden)
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
    1/2 cup organic sugar
    2 large egg whites
    1/4 cup honey
    1/4 cup canola oil
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cups fresh apples (finely chopped)
    1 cup old fashioned oats

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a food proccessor, finely chop the cereal then add flour and pulse a few times until mixed. In a large mixing bowl (I use a Kitchenaid mixer with the paddle) add raisins, baking powder, cinnamon, applesauce, sugar, egg whites, honey, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly, then add cereal/flour mixture, apples, and oats and mix again. Pour into a 13 x 9 baking dish that has been greased and floured, and spread evenly. Place on middle rack and bake for 40 minutes. Allow to cool completely and slice to your needs. I cut into (16) 1-1/4" x 4" slices (approximately).
