Introduction

Ingredients

    1/2 c. sugar
    3 T. whole wheat flour
    1 t. lemon juice
    4 c. strawberries
    2 c. diced rhubarb

    Topping:
    2/3 c. rolled oats
    1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/4 c. whole wheat flour
    1 T. soft margarine, melted

Directions

For 6 servings:
Mix first 5 ingredients for the fruit base. Pour and spread evenly in a glass baking dish.

Mix topping ingredients, spread evenly over the fruit base.

Bake at 350F. for 45 - 55 minutes until bubbly.

Serve either warm or at room temp.

    This was very good with the exception of the margarine. I prefer not to ingest plastic, so I used regular salted butter and it rocked my face off! - 5/18/12

    Even my husband raved about this one. I substituted Splenda for the sugar and brown sugar splenda for the brown sugar for a lot less calories. - 5/19/08

    Great recipe! Tastes absolutely delicious, and is an excellent, lower calorie alternative to a strawberry-rhubarb pie addiction without resorting to sugar substitutes. I used thawed berries/rhubarb. Thank you, MOMZO52! - 1/5/10
