Introduction

These beans are available only in Goa on the West Coast of India. They make a very tasty dish and are a favourite part of the local coastal cuisine. We add fresh Prawns(Shrimp) to make the Non-Vegetarian version but they taste as great Vegetarian too.The same recipe can be used to make Black-Eyed beans(Chavali/Lobia/Rongi) and whole Lentils as well.
