Ingredients

    5 green peppers
    1 lb. ground turkey
    1/4 c onion diced
    1 cup brown rice cooked
    15 oz can tomato sauce
    Reduced fat Mozzarella Cheese (optional~macros do not reflect addition of cheese)
    Salt/Pepper/Garlic powder/Oregano/Basil to taste

Directions

1. Preheat Oven to 350
2. Cut tops off of green peppers and remove insides carefully (leave pepper intact)
3. Boil Peppers in water (enough to completely cover them) for 5 minutes~remove from water and place on paper towel to dry
4. Brown Ground turkey and onion~ drain
5. Add 1 cup of tomato sauce, cooked rice and seasonings to turkey and onion mixture in pan..cook until heated
6. Place peppers standing up in baking dish
7. Fill peppers with mixture and pour remaining tomato sauce over top of each pepper
8. Cook for 30 minutes and then remove from oven. Uncover and sprinkle with cheese if desired. Bake for another 15 minutes uncovered.
