Introduction

This is a family favorite, and a real comfort food, which doesn't take much prep or cook time at all! It tastes a LOT less healthy than it really is! This is a family favorite, and a real comfort food, which doesn't take much prep or cook time at all! It tastes a LOT less healthy than it really is!

Ingredients

Ground turkey, pasta, tomato sauce, onion

Directions

Start water for pasta. Dice onion, saute until soft. Add ground turkey and italian spices (basil and oregano are favorites) to taste, cook until browned completely. Drain fat, add Hunt's tomato sauce, add additional spices, again to taste. Turn heat to simmer.

While meat & sauce are simmering, add pasta to water, boil until done (about 7 minutes, less for al dente). Drain pasta, do not rinse. Add meat sauce, mix well, serve.

Makes 6 generous portions.

    Incredible!
Fantastic! Made this for dinner tonight, and had a ton left over for lunch tomorrow. You could add more veggies to this, like peppers, spinach or whatever you like. The portion was good sized, so if you wanted to you could drop the portion size for less calories. A family favorite for sure! - 5/4/09
