Ingredients

    250 g cod
    250 g salmon
    125 g prawns, cooked
    55 g butter /margarine
    1 leek, sliced
    30 g flour
    300 ml milk
    1/8 tsp salt
    1/8 tsp black pepper
    500 g potatoes, par-boiled and sliced

Directions

Preheat oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6.
Melt half the butter in a large saucepan and cook the leeks for 2-3 minutes until soft.
Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Remove from the heat; gradually stir in the milk. Return to the heat and cook stirring until the sauce has thickened. Simmer gently for 5 minutes.
Stir in the prawns and season with salt and pepper.
Place half the sauce in a pie dish; add the fish and spoon over the remaining sauce.
Top with the sliced potatoes and dot with the remaining butter. Season with some more pepper.
Place the dish on a baking sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes until the potatoes are golden.
Divide into 4 400g servings.

    Very Good
    I also made a slight change - adding cheese to the white sauce and mashing the potatoes adding cheese to the top in the last ten minutes of cooking. Great recipe. With or without the cheese - 1/6/11

    made a slight change as i did this in 4 individual serving dishes so thet 3 of them could be frozen, cut the fish into bite sized pieces, also added a handfull of frozen garden peas into the sauce. will certainly try it again but will omit the prawns next time to keep cost down - 1/12/09
