Ingredients

    1 1/4 c whole wheat pastry flour
    1/8 t salt
    7 T very cold butter
    4-5 T ice water

Directions

Mix flour (I used whole wheat, not WW pastry flour) and salt. Cut in butter. Add ice water, 1/2 T at a time, until dough forms ball. Gather up and pat into a disc. Optimally, refrigerate for 30 min before rolling out. Roll on lightly floured surface to 10" circle.

    Very Good
Good crust. Would add just a bit of sweetener next time, even for savory dishes like pot pie (which is what I used it for). I also decreased the butter and the texture turned out well. Whole wheat pastry flour is def. necessary if you want a good whole wheat crust. Thanks for the recipe! - 5/29/13
