Introduction

A Delicious Fat-free Alternative to Starbucks! A Delicious Fat-free Alternative to Starbucks!
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

1 Tbsp. Chocolate Carnation Instant Breakfast mix (you may use cocoa powder, but it will be gritty)
    1 Tbsp. instant coffee
    2-3 packets of Splenda
    2 oz. hot water
    5 oz. cold water
    2 oz. fat-free milk
1 Tbsp. fat-free liquid coffee creamer (your choice of flavor - I like Hazelnut!)
    Lots of ice

Directions

For each 16 oz serving:

1) Combine breakfast mix, coffee, Splenda, and hot water in 16 oz. glass.
2) Add cold water, milk, and coffee creamer. Stir.
3) Fill cup up the rest of the way with ice.

You can top with fat-free Cool Whip and ground cinnamon or cocoa powder if you would like a more "Starbucks" appearance. (Not included in nutrition info.)

Beware the liquid coffee creamer!! It's loaded with trans-fats, which are SO BAD for you! It would be healthier to use real cream, believe it or not. - 4/11/07

That's why you should use that Fat-free creamer. There are no trans-fats.

Thanks so much for a delicious recipe! My variations: I used all cold water - no hot. I didn't use extra Splenda because I had some Sugar-Free Carnation French Vanilla Creamer, which already has Splenda in it. I Plopped all ingredients into my Magic Bullett and blended. Then poured over ice. YUM!! - 1/21/10
