Ingredients

    Garlic, 3 cloves
    1 onion
    2 Knorr Stockpot chicken dissolved in approx 500 ml boiling water
    Nutmeg, ground, 1 tsp
    Raw Potato, by weight, 800g

Directions

Pre-heat oven to 200C

Peel and slice potatoes very thinly, thinly slice the onion and crush the garlic. Arrange a 1/3 potatoes over base of oven dish, season, sprinkle 1/2 the garlic and 1/2 the onion. Pour over a little of the stock to prevent the potato from discolouring.

Continue layering, ending with layer of potato, pour over the stock and sprinkle with the nutmeg.

Brush the top with the oil.

Cover with foil and bake for approx 1 hr until potatoes are soft. Uncover and cook for another 20 - 30 mins until potatoes are brown and crisp.

    This recipe was very easy to prepare, however, it seemed a to have an excess of liquid. I served it with grilled, skinless chicken breast and peas and when it was all mixed up together it created a very tasty meal. Thanks - 9/12/09
