Ingredients
-
1 T. Olive oil
1 pound beef (round or sirlion works best), cut into small chunks
1 onion, minced
7-8 cups water
5 large russet potatoes, cut into large pieces, skins on
2-3 large carrots, sliced
1 T. Soy Sauce
2 T. A-1 Sauce
2 t. Lawry's Garlic salt
Directions
In a two quart saucepan, heat olive oil. Saute onions over medium-high heat until the begin to get tender, then add beef and continue to cook until meat is brown and onions are clear. (note, meat will continue to cook, so don't overbrown meat at this point).
Add the potatoes and carrots adn 7-8 cups of water, enough to cover all of the vegetables plus about an inch. Bring to a rolling boil over high heat, then reduce to a simmer. Add remaining ingredients and continue to simmer for about 20-30 minutes, until potatoes and carrots are tender. Enjoy!
