Introduction

A tangy, thick, non chunky marinara sauce. This is my family's staple marinara recipe. It's far from authentic...but I don't like watery, chunky sauces. :) A tangy, thick, non chunky marinara sauce. Ingredients

    1 lb ground turkey (frozen tube)
    32 oz tomato sauce
    6 oz tomato paste
    1 tsp garlic powder (opt: 2 cloves)
    1 tsp onion powder (opt: 1/2 Cup chopped)
    1 tsp sugar
    1 tsp oregano, dried
    1 tsp basil, dried
    1 bay leaf

Directions

Brown ground turkey. (I use a 3 qt pot) Add tomato sauce, tomato paste. Then stir in all dry ingredients. Cover & bring to a simmer for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Serve over pasta or use as lasagna filling.
