Ingredients

    1.5 pounds ground beef
    1/2 large onion, chopped
    1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
    1 large celery rib, chopped
    1 can (16 oz) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
    16 oz tomato juice
    1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomato
    1 can (10.5 oz) condensed beef broth
    1 cup water (or amount for desired consitency)
    2 Tbsp chili powder
    1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
    1/2 Tbsp dried basil
    1 tsp ground cumin
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp pepper



Directions

Chop all vegetable ingredients. Add vegetables and ground beef to a large pot. Brown beef over medium heat until no longer pink and vegetables are tender.
Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer, uncover, and cook 30 minutes or until chili is desired thickness. Makes 8 servings.
