Introduction

Ingredients

Filling:
8 cups frozen mixed berries, thawed
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup water
2/3 cup sugar
Topping:
1 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
3 Tbs. butter
1 beaten egg
3 Tbs. milk
Directions
Prepare topping:
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Combine egg and milk. Add to flour mixture, stirring just to moisten.
Set aside
Prepare filling:
Place thawed berries, cornstarch, and sugar into pot on stove. Cook and stir on med high/high heat until thickened and bubbly.
Put filling into an 8x8x2-inch baking dish. Drop topping into 9 mounds atop the hot filling. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into topping comes out clean.
Great plain! Can also be served with ice cream or whipped topping (not included in nutritional info).
