Ingredients

1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup egg beater (or 4 egg whites)
1/2 cup white granulated sugar
1/2 cup Twin white sugar substitute
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon instant coffee crystals (optional)
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt sense (low sodium or omit)
1/8 cup mini chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
**Powdered Sugar to shake
**Butter-flavored cooking spray
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray 8 x 8 pan with cooking spray
In a medium bowl mix applesauce, vanilla, egg beater and both sugars together until they are well mixed and set aside. In separate bowl sift together flour, cocoa powder, instant coffee, baking powder and salt. Then add dry ingredients into liquid mixture stirring until no lumps remain. Add in chocolate chips, mix then pour batter into prepared pan. Bake brownies 22 - 24 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out dry. Allow brownies to cool in pan before cutting. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
