Ingredients

1 (15.5 ounce) can chick peas (garbanzo beans), drained
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
2. Blot chick peas with a paper towel to dry them.
3. Spread chick peas on rimmed baking pan and bake for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Carefully remove pan from the oven, transfer chick peas to a heatproof bowl and set pan aside. In bowl, toss chickpeas with olive oil, salt, pepper and any additional spices you desire. Return contents of bowl onto reserved baking pan and spread chick peas evenly. Bake 20 to 35 more minutes, until chick peas are browned and crunchy. Watch carefully the last few minutes to avoid burning.
