Introduction

Quick and easy baked pudding with American ingredients. This is based off of a steamed chocolate pudding I had while visiting someone in the U.K. It's both cake and pudding like. Kind of spongey but also gooey and fudgey. Hard to explain, but delicious to eat. Quick and easy baked pudding with American ingredients. Ingredients

1 Box Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie Mix
1 can (20 oz) Comstock Lite Cherry Pie Filling
    1 tsp baking powder
    2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

Directions

Mix together brownie mix, cocoa, and baking powder. Then stir in pie filling until everything is well blended. Grease 8x8 baking dish. Pour mixture into dish and bake at 325 degrees for 60-70 minutes, or until the pudding pulls away from the sides of the pan entirely and the middle is set (jiggles like if you shook a bowl of jello without moving too much, like if you shook a cup of liquid). Remove from oven. Let cool. And, enjoy either partially warm or cooled completely. Final product will be firm along the edges but gooey and fudgey in the middle. You could also steam this if you like but I couldn't figure out how, so I just baked it.

    Very Good
I had some cherries that I had frozen and thawed out--I added a little sugar and some cornstarch & made my own filling. Followed all the directions & the dish turned out okay, but not at all jiggly or pudding like--more like undercooked cake batter. Still it's tasty--after all it's chocolate--lol - 2/14/14
