Ingredients

    Chop: 1 head Cabbage
    5 Tbsp. onion


    Brown: 1 cup sliced almonds
    3 Tbsp. butter
    2 pkg. oriental ramen noodles
    (broken, remove seasoning)


    Dressing: 1 cup canola oil
    1/2 cup white vinegar
    1/4 cup soy sauce
    1 cup white sugar
    Seasoning packets from noodles



Directions

Keep cabbage/onions; almonds/noodles; and dressing in separate containers until ready to serve.Makes 30 1/2 cup servings.

The crunchiness of this salad is affected if mixed ahead of time and/or after storing mixed up. We love the taste just fine either way!!

    Very Good
    We made this to accompany grilled chicken tonight. It was very good - my only concern is that my head of chinese cabbage must have been much smaller than the chef's - I had a lot of dressing left over. No problem other than that and everyone ate it! - 8/9/09
