Ingredients

    Chana dal
    jaggery
    whole wheat floor
    oil
    nutmeg and cardemum powder( .5 tsp each)

Directions

Soak the chana dal in water for 3-4 hrs, and cook it till it becomes soft. Drain the excess water and mash the dal. Add jaggery and cook it on slow flame, stirring it ocasionally till it thickens. Add nutmeg and cardemum powder and let it cool down.

Make soft dough with whole wheat floor, water and oil. Kneed it well and keep aside for 30 mins.

Take a small ball ( size of a small lime) of the dough , roll it to approx. 3 inches in diameter and fill it with chana dal mixture ( approx double in quantity of the dough) . Close the edges and make a ball. Roll the ball using floor and roast it on both sides on a non-stick pan.
