Wild Rice Chicken and Vegetable Soup
This simple, delicious soup is one I dry can each year from freeze dried foods. It's perfect for emergencies, camping or anytime you want a meal healthy 'just-add-water' meal. Freeze dried foods can last for 10+ more years on the shelf. I get the Minnesota Grown Wild Rice Vegetable Soup mix from North Bay Trading Co. (http://www.northbaytrading.com/minnesota-
grown-wild-rice-soup) I follow sales to pick up the other freeze dried ingredients from them, Honeyville Grain or Emergency Essentials. I have found their products to be high quality, and they offer a selection of organic foods.
Of course, you can also make this with fresh ingredients, or a mix of the two (i.e., use home cooked chicken stock instead of stock power)
