This is how I make my sloppy Joes to and I use Brown sugar also not regular sugar. I do add diced green peppers when I have them in the house. Latelty Ihave been throwing in a special touch that everyone is raving about. I add about 1tps or just a little more of Sundried Tomatoes in Olive oil.
Very good.. recipe as shown doesn't make much sauce, basically doubled the sauce. I used no salt or mustard and added a little A1 and extra worcestershire, shredded carrots and zucchini. Yummy and easy to camoflage veggies for my kids.
We loved it! I too, used brown sugar instead of white. I also doubled the sauce part...we like it saucy!
These are the best Sloppy Joes I have had! This is a wonderful recipe. I used 90% lean ground round....hardly any fat to drain and so flavorful.
This sloppy joe recipe is sooooo very good! And easy to prepare-- although we cut the sugar in half- it was awesome!
