Nutrition & Calorie Comments

I used a Kroger bakery sugar free angel food cake. This is a great dessert.
This was SO yummy! My grocery store didn't have the welch's juice so I had to compromise and use sugar free strawberry glaze. It was amazing!
I make this often for my family!! We replace the juice with instant fat free chocolate pudding (made with nonfat milk) and use 95% fat free cool whip. Also add blueberries sometimes. This is so delicious and yummy!!
This is fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing it. Even my DH likes it and that's unusual with a low-cal, low-fat recipe.
I think fat free whipped topping and fresh sliced strawberries are all you need on it... Less calories, all the flavor... Agree with the warm topping comment - can easily do that (saute strawberries), would be great too.
My grocery store has a 100calorie for 1/8 of the cake angel food cake that we love with strawberries - I might have to try this topping on it! (the store bought angel food cake is lower cal than any mix I could find).
You can eliminate additional calories by removing the juice in the recipe. Bring the berries to a slow boil in a saute pan with a little water, and top the cake with it. If you prefer, you can add a pack of Splenda to the berries. When warm, I did not need the cool whip. YUM!
i bet you could also make this with banana's and sugar free vanilla pudding in exchange for the welches and strawberries.. or pineapple and cococut flakes
I love fruit & angel food cake. I actually buy the premade angel food cake from the grocery store - but I get the sugar free cake for even lower calories.
Tastes like more calories than it is. Yummy.
