I added some fresh garlic and lots of Mrs. Dash. I also used some chicken stock to add more flavor. Maybe and the end you could add some half and half? I even cut the water down a cup and was still watery. - 2/27/09

I made this and think it is good. It does need some additional seasoning otherwise it is too bland. i added some Mrs Dash (garlic and spices), added some fresh garlic, parsely and used fat free evaporated skim milk instead of the mushroom soup. This makes it a lot creamier. - 1/21/08

Pretty good! Served with a dash of Parmesan cheese on top, and that really made it great! Will probably make it again sometime. - 8/29/07

I've had this several times, and it's really good.As others have said though,it needs added spices, and, chicken broth in the place of the water.6 cups of water, just kills the flavor.I also, used 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup. You can get the fat free variety of the soup to cut calories. - 3/4/19

I added mixed veggies, not so many green beans...I also added low sodium for the water..no mushroom soup...I made a white sauce...added more seasoning too... - 3/12/17

I didn't make many changes. I subbed corn for the onion, added mrs. dash and used chicken stock like others suggested. I used canned veggies since that is what i had on hand. what I did for the thickness was add a bit of corn starch once it was nice and boiling and the veggies were done. very yummy - 3/17/14

I made some changes to this, as we had carrots & hominy, but not green beans. We cut the liquid, and used chicken broth instead of water. We added seasoned pepper and parsley flakes, and really enjoyed it. - 12/27/09
