I love this recipe. I've used it a few times. I cut out the carrots add red bell pepper, bamboo shoots and water chesnuts. - 6/25/09

that's great! Thanks! It was super easy prep (which is half the battle) and I used splenda Brown sugar and it turned out great. Kids, not a fan, but my husband and I liked it! - 10/23/08

I'm just not impressed with this on any level. I followed the recipe to the T and found this to be a little too bland to go over rice. By itself it's good as opposed to ok but not something i would make again. I would, however, recommend this to someone who is a bad cook as they will think its good - 8/23/10

The one dish out of a whole slew I tried that everyone liked. I might try subbing other veggies for the carrots too. Thanks for the tip! - 5/4/13

I didn't like the soy taste. My family liked it. I was disappointed that I couldn't eat the pineapple because of the its taste. I was hoping to use it as a garnish. - 9/14/11

My entire family loved this recipe. I agree that carrots weren't my favorite vegetable for this. Next time I will use green peppers. - 8/8/11

This was really mushy, the flavors weren't bad. I omitted the carrots and added water chestnuts and red pepper like someone else recommended. I wouldn't make it again. - 1/27/11

I don't know what I did wrong, but... there wasn't much "sauce" in this. I added about a cup of water, and still, it wasn't exactly "saucy." The chicken itself tasted fine, and was very tender, but the overall flavor...just wasn't what I was looking for. Thanks for the easy recipe, though. - 1/11/10
