I substituted 14 oz water with beef stock and added 1C red wine. The london broil was a bit tough so I simmered the stew an additional 30 minutes to tenderize it. I'll def make this again - yummmm - 1/25/09

Easy to prep and make. I tossed in the crockpot on low before bedtime. Will eat for lunch today. Substituted zucchini since I had no celery. Good filling recipe for a chilly day. - 2/24/13

Delicious! My family approved! He added a little more "gravy base" to it, however he said that the total calories he added to the entire pot were only 20. We will absolutely be making this again! - 3/8/11
