Perfect recipe for a football Sunday! I used 1 can crushed tomatoes and 1 can Rotel in place of the tomato sauce. Also went heavy on all of the peppers since we like it with a kick. I'll definitely make this again. Thanks for sharing! - 9/20/09

My husband said this was the best chili we've ever made! A definite keeper! I made it just as written with 3 T of the canned jalapenos. It was plenty hot for me and just hot enough for my hubbie. Thanks for a fantastic recipe. - 1/4/10

Just got done making this for tonight's dinner. Just what I was looking for, a nice thick chili with some zing! The only things I changed was omitting the White Pepper(just didn't have it on hand) and I added a can of DelMonte's diced tomatos- Zesty Chili Style. Can't wait till dinner!!!! Yum!! - 3/1/09

I used a roll of turkey sausage, less calories and fat. I also used low salt canned tomatoes. - 10/31/11

This recipe has almost half a day's allowance of sodium! By using 2 cans of diced tomatoes (no added salt) instead of the tomato sauce, and 2 tsp Mrs Dash seasoning in place of the salt and Hamburger Deluxe, I was able to get the sodium count down to 200 mg. The flavors were still yummy! - 2/26/11

I used 2 lbs of 93/7 ground turkey breast. My husband, who is picky, LOVES this recipe. My teenage son even warmed up another bowl the next day, and he hates leftovers. This is the recipe I'll make from now on. Thank you! - 2/22/11

Really good recipe. I left out the jalapenos and hamburger spice but added extra of the other spices, plus cayenne pepper. Really really good chili, totally satisfied my chili craving :) - 9/8/10

Very good! Omitted ground turkey (didn't have it on hand) as well as white pepper. Looking forward to having it as left overs as chili is always better the second day! - 8/19/10

This was a fabulous recipe! I really loved it! I made a few minor changes. I ended up adding 16 oz of water and letting it simmer for almost one hour. I used 2 #s off ground turkey instead of the angus beef. I also used fresh jalapenos instead of the canned variety. I love this recipe! - 11/10/09

Excellent recipe! I made mine in the crock pot. I browned the turkey and angus first just like instructed and then dumped everything into the crock pot. Only change I made was adding tomato paste about an hr. before serving to thicken it up more. I'm serving this over wheat wide noodles! Thanks! - 11/8/09

Wow! I am always experimenting with my own chili recipes-I never make it the same way twice, and I have to say that this is a great base that really doesn't need lot of tweeking! It's simmering and I am waiting to see if it passes the family test-I'm sure it will! Perfect tonight=it's -9 degrees ou - 1/15/09
