Introduction

A great morning energy bar or mid day snack. Rich in Omega 3's and copper. A great morning energy bar or mid day snack. Rich in Omega 3's and copper.
Number of Servings: 15

Ingredients

    1 cup of walnuts
    1/2 cup sesame seeds
    1 1/2 cups of pitted dates
    1 1/2 cups of dried figs
    Pinch of salt

Directions

Blend all ingredients in food processor until mixture holds together when pressed without turning into a paste.

Press mixture into 9inch square pan, and chill. Cut into squares to serve. Makes 15 3" bars

    I don't understand how they get 15 pieces if they have a 9inch square pan cut into 3" squares. I get 9 pieces so the count is almost doubled - 3/10/09

    I made these using 1 1/2 c. raisins instead of the dried figs, but everything else was the same and DH loved them! I really liked them too, except it is difficult to stop at one 3 inch piece and the calories can really add up. - 2/24/09
