Easy and quick preparation. I made the burritos, wrapped them in plastic wrap and put them in the freezer for the "grab & run" meals when I'm running late for work. - 5/24/08

for those worried about putting plastic in the microwave, I put the tortilla between two damp paper towels. I only put in for 30 seconds - but microwave times vary. - 6/18/08

The best, I heat the tortillas up on the stove and use chipotle powder for a different flavor, but tried it this way first and loved it. - 6/18/08

too high in carb for the fiber count. Would probably try this without the tortilla, and just throw it on a salad instead. - 12/27/10

This is very good but better with black beans. The reason americans put sour cream on mexican style foods is it's cooling contrast to the heat of the spices. Also, guacamole balances the contrasting flavors. - 12/27/10

You can warm the tortillas in a frying pan on the stove--doesn't take very long. Ideally, you'll see a "bubble" of air within the tortillas as it warms up. Do flip it over! - 12/27/10

For a more authentic Mexican taste, try using creme fraiche instead of the sour cream and black beans instead of white. And we always use corn tortillas in our family rather than wheat. You can buy them in Mexican stores. Otherwise, I love this. - 9/6/15

Carb count is through the roof, so I'll use full fat sour cream and cheese & some healthy oil to bring it down, omit corn & add some sauteed onion, a big dash of chilpotle sauce and cubed avocado on the side. - 12/27/11

The carb count is out of my realm. I'm diabetic and at most can only use 45 grams of carbs per meal. It sure sounds good tho. The person with the idea of eliminating the tortilla has a good idea. - 12/27/10

I am definitely go to try this recipe. But I will omit 2 things. The sour cream and wrapping the tortillas in microwave safe plastic wrap. Plastic are polymers that can break down and chemicals can migrate into the food. - 4/27/08

yummy, protein packed and easy to veganize. try sour supreem and veganrella as substitutes and using cumin in place of some of the chili powder in order to turn down the heat. - 4/27/08

i will try this without sour cream. WHY does everybody add sour cream to Mexican cooking? Mexicans i know don't add it... and i don't even like it except with baked potatoes. - 4/27/08
