Introduction

Very easy recipe that satisfies my craving for Chicken Parmesan. Very easy recipe that satisfies my craving for Chicken Parmesan.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

18 oz. Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast
1 jar Ragu Spaghetti Sauce (90 calories per serving)
1 1/2 cup Kraft Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Directions

Place chicken in crock-pot. I use "TenderBird" brand frozen chicken tenders (1/2 of 3 lb bag) and I do not thaw. Spoon Ragu sauce over the chicken and cook on low for 6-8 hours. About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle shredded cheese over the chicken and sauce. Cover and let cheese melt. I serve this with steamed broccoli and a salad.

Note: I have started using Classico brand Fire-Roasted Tomato and Garlic sauce (50 calories per serving).

Makes 6 servings.

I didn't have spaghetti sauce so I used a big can of diced tomatoes & onions & fresh herbs & defrosted the chicken a bit in the microwave & set it on high for 3+ hrs & turned out marvelous. Thank you for this way too easy recipe. I grow my own herbs in the garden this yr. this has been awesome idea - 7/27/11

I made this for Sunday dinner and my family enjoyed it! I seasoned my skinless chicken the night before in "basil & garlic" seasoning and used "fire roasted tomato" bertolli sauce and it was on the money! - 10/12/09

This is really good. I omitted adding the mozz cheese and just served over pasta with parmesan sprinkled on top. Next time I make a serving, I'll add the mozz as written. Steamed Broccoli on the side, this was tasty and super easy. I also added a can of fire roasted diced tomoatoes. - 2/17/21

It was OK but not great. For as much as I love RAGU I was disappointed. Instead of melting the cheese I used parm on it and put it over whole grain pasta. Needs some spices but not sure what..might play with it again some time. - 10/18/12

This recipe is pretty good. I added mushrooms to this recipe. I also used about 1 1/2 Tbsp. of flour to thicken the sauce, it was to runny for my taste. I served it over whole wheat penne pasta with veggie sides. It was a hit. Will make again. - 9/28/12

We always 'kick it up a notch' and add spices for more flavor. My picky Little Ones loved it & have asked that we try it with "brown noodles" (AKA whole wheat pasta) next time. Thank you! - 1/26/11

It's super good, the flavor is great. I had just the chicken breast straight, no noodles/anything. It didn't seem that much different than simply cooking chicken after marinating in red sauce, but it is so much less work-intensive and much much more tender. - 7/31/10

Maybe it was the pasta sauce I was using (Healthy Choice Chunky Lovers Italian-Style Vegetable, 60 cals per 1/2 cup), but I wasn't overly impressed, especially considering all the raves. Chicken was tender & shreaded easily. I'll try again w/ different sauce. - 10/11/08

this sounds excellent and super easy which are great for my busy life ~ I would be sure to use a sauce that doesn't contain any high fructose corn syrup (terrible for our bodies and fattening) ~ can't wait to try it this week =) - 3/14/08
