Not to nit-pick, but the ingredients call for 12 BURRITOS, this should read "tortillas". When I make these, I'll leave out the mustard. Also, nutritional info should be adjusted for cheese, and quantity. Love sweet potatoes, great idea for how to use 'em! - 12/23/08

Shoulds like a yummy recipe idea! But, you mention putting cheese on the burrito before folding it. But there is no cheese in the recipe ingredients. Does this mean the nutritional info needs adjusting? Can you make the adjustments? - 12/13/08

Excellent! First time I made these, I halved the recipe in case I didn't like it. The spices that are used in the beans taste so good. I'm going to make this again soon. They are great for packing in my lunch. - 3/26/07

Very tasty - especially the spices that go in the black beans. I just need to figure out a way to make a low-cal, low-fat sauce. I might sprinkle a little 2% cheese on it too - calls for cheese in the instructions but not in the ingredient list. Definitely making again though! - 12/3/07

Excellent way to get my fiber in and tasty too! I froze them individually and then whenever I want one for lunch I thaw it and pop it in the microwave. - 3/7/07

I just know I'm going to love this! Can't wait to make it! I will make it with dry beans soaked overnight rather than canned and probably use less soy both of which will help bring the overall sodium down quit a bit. - 7/7/09

I make black bean burritos often, and LOVE them! To avoid having the texture too mushy, I use cubed sweet potatoes and try to keep the beans intact. To offset the sweet flavor, I use LOTS of chilis (usually jalapenos) to kick up the spicyness factor. I think I'll make some today! - 10/23/08

If you're looking to reduce the fat, use soy cheese. I'm lactose intolerant and LOVE the cheese I use Veggy. It's about 20 calories per slice and comes in all flavors. My fav is provolone. - 7/7/09

I see in the nutritional breakdown above the cheese is included there if add to the burrito. I made a wonderful pot of pinto beans with much of the ingredients listed so I just needed to add sweet potato to make this delicious burrito. Use La tortilla brand tortillas -only 50 calories . - 9/11/17

Loved the recipe, served to guests and everyone loved them. I decided to stir the sweet potatoes in with the black beans to save time. Worked just fine! - 2/5/12

fan-freakin-tastic!! These burrito's were absolutely delicious!! I added shredded zuchinni and spooned on herdez salsa.

when my 14 year old son bit into it, he said "whaaaat's thiiiis, eeeeew" and then proceeded to chow down on the whole thing.

    Thanks for sharing MINDCRUSHER :)

This tasted wonderful. We added sour cream to the top because it seems a little dry. We are used to enchiladas (with sauce). Overall, will serve again. Amazing combo of sweet and spicy. :) - 1/4/11

I cooked the beans in broth w/finely diced carrots, celery, parsley and spinach. Then used unabsorbed broth instead of water--more nutrients and less sodium. Added cilantro, too. Have also made with ground turkey or chicken breast (cooked with the onions & garlic). A family favorite! - 11/8/10

Excellent recipe, plan to try it this week! On the cheese, if you look at the link for the Full Nutritional Value by Ingredient, "14 calories of Kraft Free Shredded Cheddar Cheese, (0.08 cup)" is listed. For 12 servings, that's almost a full cup. It's there, it just didn't get typed in the secon ;-) - 11/8/10
