Ingredients

    2 - 16oz cans of chick peas
    2 1/2 tbsp of tahini
    juice of 1 lemon
    1 1/2 tbsp of minced garlic
    1 whole red or yellow sweet pepper, quartered
    2 tsp ground cumin
    1 tbsp of cayenne pepper
    1tsp Tabasco (optional)
    salt to taste

Directions

In a food processor, combine all ingredients until smooth.
Makes about 8 - 1/2cup servings.

    Very good hummus! You can also use dried chickpeas soaked 24 hours in fridge with a touch of baking soda. Then rinse very well. Then precede with the other ingredients... but your is great also. - 6/29/07
