loved it! I used extra lean ground turkey instead and added a tsp of cinnamon as well as some other spices. My one complaint is it tasted too... ketchup-y. Next time I would use pasta sauce or tomato sauce instead. 105 calories a serving is not bad at all! Served on some sandwich thins! - 5/8/12

I actually got a hug from my 9 year old for dinner tonight. This was really good. I used tomato sauce instead of ketchup and will keep this recipe for future use. - 2/21/08

This was very good and the 1/2 cup serving size is too much for the size whole wheat bun I use, so I get to have 1/4 cup for lunch and 1/4 cup for dinner. I use a piece of whole wheat bread for lunch. - 1/17/08

I divided the original recipe into 3rds, I only had 1 lb. of hamburger on hand. Preparation was quick & easy. Tasted scrumptious--better than any canned, or packaged envelope mix that you can buy at the store. My husband ate several sandwiches, & I could have easily went over my 1 serving. Yummy!! - 8/3/07

I just read the ingredients in Manwich and couldn't bring myself to order it. That's why I'm looking for a recipe. This sounds good. I will try it, but use Truvia in place of sugar. - 2/15/19

In a pinch I didn't mind this. But wasn't like manwich at all. I ended up doing a third of this recipe and adding some tomato sauce and still that didn't help. In the end kinda tasted like a hamburger/cheeseburger slider. It wasn't a bad flavor. But I thought I could get a little healthy with it and - 9/14/18

This is an easy go-to recipe, especially when you're running late or just plain tired when you get home from work! It was the first time my kids ever had a sloppy joe and it was a big hit. I actually mix half the lean beef with ground turkey & use low sodium worcester, still very good! - 12/14/09

These were wonderful! The only changes I made were that I did not add the sugar, I used 2 Tbsp of red wine vinegar, and I used dijon mustard. - 10/9/09

Just made this for dinner and it was GREAT. I will keep this recipe to use all the time. Our older daughter who says she will eat sloppy joes but doesn't really enjoy them thought this was very good. This was just as good as any can and easy too. Thanks for such a good recipe. - 8/17/09

This was good and flavorful. I added 1/2 cup ketcup and 1/4 cup of Sweet Baby Ray's Barbeque Sauce. It added an extra twang. I didn't have worcestershire sauce so I added a bit of balsamic vinegar plus the bbq. - 4/11/09

These were pretty good. I used ground chicken (I was out of gr. beef). I didn't pay close attnetion that this recipe was for 3 lbs of meat, and I was only using 1. So I had to eyeball the amount of sauce to put in with the meat, and freeze the rest. But, the family like them (kids 4 and 3). - 3/27/09

I thought this was pretty good. I Dont like the flavor of the vinegar too much so i might cut it down a little bit on the next try. Definitely good though, i will definitely make this again! - 3/22/09

This is a great recipe. I've made my Joes this way for years. I did make a small change. I left out the sugar. My thinking was, there is sugar in the ketchup so why add more. It still tastes great and you're eliminating the few extra calories. - 2/16/09
