Ingredients

    4 strips bacon
    1 medium onion
    7.5 c water
    4 c potatoes
    1 c chopped clams
    2 c milk
    4 tbsp flour

Directions

Cut bacon into small pieces. Cook over medium heat until done, remove bacon from pot. Set aside. Add onion and saute until tender. Stir in 6 cups water, clams, and potatoes. Cook 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Stir in milk, bring to a boil. Combine flour with remaining 1.5 cups water. Slowly stir into boiling pot. Simmer 15 minutes. Serve hot. Makes eight 1.5 cup servings.
