Introduction

Low in fat, turkey sausage tastes great when cooked with red table wine. Low in fat, turkey sausage tastes great when cooked with red table wine.

Ingredients

    • 1/2 cup dry red wine
    • 1/4 cup raisins
    • 1/2 medium apple, peeled and sliced
    • 1/2 medium onion, sliced
    • 2 low-fat turkey sausages
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

1. Sauté the turkey sausages in olive oil. Once cooked, remove and place on plate. In same pan, sauté onions and apples until onions brown and apples soften.



2. Return sausages to pan. Add wine and raisins. Bring mixture to light boil.



Serves 2.
