Number of Servings: 18

Ingredients

    sift together in large bowl:
    2 cup flour
    2 cup sugar

    bring to a boil in saucepan:
    2 sticks margarine or butter
    1 cup water
    3 T cocoa

    Pour over dry ingredients, then add:
    2 eggs
    1/2 cup milk with 1 T lemon juice
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp vanilla

    Beat until smooth. Pour into greased cake pan and cook 20-25 minutes at 400 degrees.

    Icing:

    Bring to a boil and ice cake while hot:
    1 stick butter or margarine
    6 T milk
    3 T cocoa

    Remove from heat and add:
    2 heaping cups powdered sugar
    1/2 cup chopped nuts
    1 tsp vanilla
