Ingredients

    1 18.25 oz pkg chocolate fudge cake mix
    1/4 cup vegetable oil
    12 oz. lowfat vanilla yogurt
    1 1/2 tsp vanilla
    3 large eggs

    Frosting:
    4 oz. light cream cheese, softened
    2 tbsp. butter, softened
    1 cup powdered sugar
    1 tsp vanilla

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Line 2 muffin pans with paper liners. Set aside. Combine cake mix, oil,
yogurt, 1 1/2 tsp vanilla and eggs in a mixer bowl. Beat thoroughly according to pkg. directions. Divide in prepared pans. ( I use an ice cream scoopful for each cup). Bake 18-20 min or until tested done with toothpick. Cool 5 min, remove from pan, finish cooling on rack. Meanwhile prepare frosting: In small bowl, combine cream cheese and butter; beat until smooth.Gradually beat in powdered sugar and vanilla.

    These were amazing! If the calorie count is true they are totally worth it! I ran out of frosting for the last 4 cupcakes though so be aware of how much you are putting on so it covers all 24 :) - 2/6/12

    I made the frosting for a cake - and the frosting was the best part! Creamy and rich with out being super bad for you. A great treat. I added cocoa powder, but it didn't taste very chocolatey. Maybe some melted baker's chocolate would have been better. Thanks for sharing! - 3/18/08

    I would love to make these but I was wondering if I could make the batter and put in the refrigerator or freezer and use it when I want...I only cook for me but this sounds so good and yummy.....Thanks....

    Delicious & easy! FYI - Frosting does NOT look like pic because you would have to at least double the frosting to get that much! There is just enough to swab the tops of each cupcake; However, the taste and texture still satisfies! Kids loved too!! - 3/5/14
