Ingredients

    1 lb lean ground beef
    1/4 cup chopped celery
    1/2 cup chopped green pepper
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 680 mL can of pasta sauce
    1 1/2 tomatoes, sliced 1/4" thick
    3/4 cup light cottage cheese
    150g light mozzarella cheese, grated (approx 1 1/4 cups)
    4 tbsp light grated parmesan cheese
    5 lasagna noodles

Directions

Brown ground beef with green peppers, onion, celery and garlic powder.

Add can of pasta sauce (if you are using oven ready noodles then also add 1/2 cup hot water) and heat through

In a bowl mix together the cottage cheese and 1/2 cup of grated mozzarella cheese

In an 8" x 8" baking dish layer:
- 1/3 sauce
- 1/2 noodles
- cottage cheese mixture
- 1/3 sauce
- 1/2 noodles
- sliced tomato
- 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/3 sauce

Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
