Cuban Black Bean Soup Cuban Black Bean Soup

    2 cups lean ham, cubed
    2 14 1/2 oz cans black beans, rinsed and drained
    1 onion chopped
    1/2 green pepper chopped
    2 tsp Mrs. Dash seasoning
    1 tsp cumin
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    1 cup water


In a medium soup pot sprayed with cooking spray, saute onion and green pepper for about 3 minutes. Add black beans, ham, water and spices and simmer covered for about 20 minutes. Serves 4.
