Introduction

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 Pack Picsweet All Natural Blackeyed peas (Frozen)
    6 c. Water
    2 ts. EVOO - Extra virgin olive oil
    1/2 Onion, chopped
    3 Garlic cloves, minced
    2 ts. Ham seasoning
    2 Tbs. Black Pepper
    Dash salt (to taste)

Directions

1. Cover Blackeyed peas w/water & follow directions on package.

2. Saute onion & garlic in olive oil.

3. After 40 minutes (as per package instructions), drain off about 3/4 of the water then add onion, garlic, & the rest of the ingredients & cook for about 10-15 minutes more on simmer.

Peas should be tender. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Makes 6 servings (appx. 1/2c each)

Opt. - Serve over rice
