Ingredients
-
10 4oz chunks of chicken breast - skinless (about 5 breast)
1 (26.5oz can) Hunts Traditional Pasta Sauce
1 14 ounce can of Del Monte Diced Tomatoes with Basil, garlic & Oregano
1 Green Bell pepper, seeded and diced
1 yellow pepper, seeded and diced
4 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 med. onion
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
1tablespoon Basil
1/4 tsp red pepper
Directions
Mix pasta sauce, diced tomatoes, spices, peppers, onion, and mushrooms in slow cooker.
Add chicken.
Cover, and cook on low for 7 to 9 hrs
Serving size is 4 oz chicken and 2/3 cup of sauce. Nutritional information is for sauce and chicken NOT including spaghetti. If you are using a larger piece of chicken, just add the ounce difference from the 4oz that is included.
***Nutritional info for sauce alone is - 2/3 cup = 65 cal, .7g of fat, 14g of carbs, and 2.2g of protein
Serve over Thin Spaghetti
When I make this, I make it with 3 - 8 to 10 oz chicken breast, and that is enough for 4 people and lunch for me for 2 days with sauce left over.
