Introduction

Brussels sprouts are a great vegetable but I like to add some hard cheese for added calcium and taste.

When researching brussels sprouts I learned that boiling or blanching them reduces their cancer fighting qualities so I microwave them instead.

When researching brussels sprouts I learned that boiling or blanching them reduces their cancer fighting qualities so I microwave them instead.

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    10 OZ - Brussels Sprouts
    4 OZ - Low Fat Hard (block) Cheddar Cheese
    salt (to taste)
    pepper (to taste)

Directions

Trim bottom of each sprout and cut in half.

Add Brussels to a microwave safe bowl filled halfway with water. Microwave 4-6 minutes depending on your preference. Drain. Return to bowl.

Season with salt and pepper. Add cheese to the top. Microwave 1 1/2-2 minutes to melt cheese. Serve!!!

Makes 4 decent size servings.
