Ingredients

    1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix

    4 all-purpose potatoes, cut into large chunks (about 2 lbs.)

    1/3 cup vegetable oil

Directions

1. In large bowl, toss all ingredients until evenly coated.

2. In 13 x 9-inch baking or roasting pan, arrange potatoes.

3. Bake at 425°, uncovered, stirring occasionally, 35 minutes or until potatoes are tender and golden brown.VARIATIONS: Try substituting 2 sweet potatoes for 2 all-purpose potatoes. OR...stir in 1 tsp. each of garlic powder and soy sauce.

    Thank you for doing the work on this; it's a long-time family favorite. I was worrying about the sodium; it's not as bad as I thought. YUM!! I do use olive oil, wonder how much difference that makes. Again, thanks :) - 10/17/10

    I made these twice once with the oil called for to me to oily the second time I made them I sprayed my potatoes with cooking spray and used 1/4 cup oil and was much better and less fat otherwise delicious tasting even kids enjoyed - 9/3/08

    I will try this with the substitue Onion soup mix in my spice cookbook. Limiting salt. - 3/19/08
