Ingredients

1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
2 large eggs
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Directions
Sift flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder and salt together. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Stir in chocolate chips.
Beat eggs, beat in peanut butter until well mixed; does not have to be perfectly smooth. Mix milk into egg-peanut butter mixture.
Stir egg mixture into dry ingredients. Dough will be very stiff.
Turn out onto floured surface and knead gently for 30 seconds. Pat and shape into an 8" circle and cut into 8 equal wedges.
Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet in a preheated 400 degree oven for 14-16 minutes until lightly browned. Serve warm. Makes 8 scones.
