This is the exact recipe I have been making for over 30 years and the one that my mother and grandmother made. Everyone always loves it,I now make it with skim milk because that's what I have on hand.I use canola oil instead of butter.Even those who say they don't like sweet cornbread like this. - 3/16/09

I used whole wheat flour, 1 tbs of lemon juice to the 1% milk and Becel light margarine. I baked in a square cake pan. Sometimes whole wheat flour changes a recipe but in this one it worked great. - 1/10/10

This was the lowest calorie cornbread I've found and it was great! Very moist. Easy to double for a crowd. - 1/13/08

  • I thought this corn bread was pretty good, but not sweet enough for my family, but they like their cornbread made with yellow cake mix. I did notice however it was gone the next day. - 4/22/18
