Nutrition & Calorie Comments

I leave the sugar out, and pour honey on top before baking..
I ended up making the cornbread with splenda and egg beaters, and the batter was looking a little dry , so I also added about 1/4 cup of applesauce to cut down on the fat. It was delicious!
I didn't have buttermilk, so I made this with a cup of plain low fat yogurt. It was fantastic!
haven't tasted it yet, but I substituted splenda for sugar, and used milk instead of buttermilk. Hope it's good.
This was so great! I subbed plain nonfat yogurt for the buttermilk and added a little skim milk to thin the batter. It was so moist and delish! I paired it with the turkey/black bean/corn chili from this site and it was an awesome dinner with great leftovers!
i cleaned up hte recipe a bit by subbing succanat for the sugar and half a cup of whole wheat flour and half a cup of regular. My fiance is allergic to milk so i subbed soymilk with a bit of lemon for the butttermilk. It turned out very well!
This is soooo good if you use some whole wheat flour. I also used Smart Balance instead of butter and skim milk vs. buttermilk, but it only saved 9 calories... Thanks for the recipe!
Thanks for the recipe, it is very similar to mine. I love corn bread. I love the lower calories of this recipe.
This was the lowest calorie cornbread I've found and it was great! Very moist. Easy to double for a crowd.
