Introduction

A wonderful, moist side for any poultry dish. A wonderful, moist side for any poultry dish.
Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    1 pkg pure pork sausage
    8 stalks celery
    1 medium onion
    1 medium apple
    10 slices mixed-grain bread, toasted
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 tsp. sage

Directions

Brown sausage in a frying pan, drain and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together bread crumbs, celery, onion and apple, add drained sausage.
Add salt and pepper to taste, and sage.
Mix well, stuff into turkey.

    I prefer to use fruit in the stuffing like dried apricots and sultanas rather than sausage, it's different and tastes delicious. - 12/20/07
