Ingredients

    2 chicken breasts. skin and bone removed, diced
    1 1/2 c cabbage, chopped
    2 medium carrots, chopped
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1 19 oz can crushed tomatoes
    4 c low-sodium chicken broth
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    1 19 oz can chick peas, drained and rinsed
    2 c frozen green beans

Directions

Place all ingredients, except green beans, and chick peas, in a large pot and simmer for 2 hours. Add chick peas and frozen beans and simmer anoher 30 minutes or untill all vegetables are soft. Add your favourite herbs to taste.
