Introduction
For those true Italians out there - there's nothing like grilling some sausage and peppers on a portuguese roll in the summertime, but who wants all that fat and those nitrates? I found a great alternative - chicken sausage w/garden vegetables and asiago cheese. Only 110 calories per link! I even found whole wheat Portuguese rolls! Ingredients

Han's Natural Chicken Sausage (or other chicken sausage) - 6 links
1 red pepper - sliced
1 yellow pepper - sliced
1 onion - halved and sliced
1/4 cup olive oil - divided
Italian Bread
Directions
In a pan on the grill or stove, or on foil-wrapped grates, mix peppers and onions with the olive oil and saute until peppers and onions are soft.
i the meantime, grill sausage links on oiled grate over hot coals until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. Cut sausages lengthwise. Continue to grill until brown on all sides.
Slice Italian Bread - toast lightly on grill
Add one sausage link (2 strips) with some peppers and onions. Add 1 Tbl ketchup or marinara sauce (adds 25 calories), and enjoy!
