When you want something chocolate-y and don't have any chocolate bars (Oh-No!!). When you want something chocolate-y and don't have any chocolate bars (Oh-No!!).
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

1-2 bananas, cut in half (horizontally) and skewered
1/4 C. granulated sugar (less or more depending on your bitterness preference)
1/4 C. cocoa powder, unsweetened (I recommend Ghiradelli)
    1/3 C. water
    pinch of salt
    vanilla extract

Directions

Cut a banana in half (short ways) and skewer (I used chopsticks). Place in try lined with parchment or wax paper. In a small saucepan, combine the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil for 3-5 mins, stirring constantly. When liquid has thickened up to the consistency of brown gravy, take off heat and let cool for 1-2 minutes. Coat the bananas with the chocolate mixture and place in freezer until ready to be eaten. Note: There will be enough chocolate sauce for about 3 whole bananas. You can add sprinkles, nuts, etc to the outside, however this recipe does not account for additional toppings.
