Introduction

These are muffins I found here but I didn't have blueberries so I added dried cranberries instead. I also added the chocolate chips so my husband would eat them. Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1 cup whole wheat flour
    1 cup wheat germ
    1/2 cup sugar
    4 tsp baking powder
    1 egg
    3/4 cup milk
    3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
    1/4 cup dried cranberries
    1/4 cup chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Spray non-stick muffin tins with cooking oil.
Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl. Combine wet ingredients in a separate bowl. Add wet ingredients to dry, stirring gently just to mix. Add the cranberries and chocolate chips.
Divide the batter amongst 12 muffin cups. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until top springs back when pressed.
