Introduction
This is a version of banana bread that's a bit healthier. This recipe makes two loaves. I loosely followed the Better Homes and Gardens banana bread recipe...just to get the portions correct. Ingredients

4 cups whole wheat flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
4 large eggs
5 bananas mashed to make 3 cups
1 cup sugar
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray oil inside two loaf pans and dust with flour. In a large bowl mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg. In a separate bowl mix eggs, mashed bananas, sugar, applesauce, and olive oil. Make a well in the dry ingredient bowl and pour in wet ingredients. Mix until blended. Add the chocolate chips. Pour into loaf pans, dividing the mixture into to two equal portions. Place in middle of preheated oven and cook for about an hour. Bread is done when a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
